<\/span><\/h2>\nLanguage originated as an innate process where sounds conveyed meaning and meaning could be recognized from the type of sound produced. Later, languages became more intellectualized and concepts developed which could no longer be understood from the mere sound produced. A language became a more complex learning process.<\/p>\n
However, even today the influence of sound on the meaning of words can be observed in language.
For instance, in almost all languages the word \u00abmother\u00bb<\/strong> is conveyed with an \u2018M\u2019<\/strong> sound \u2014 a sound which is inward and soft, in accordance with our perception of a mother\u2019s role.
\u00abFather\u00bb<\/strong>, on the other hand, is conveyed with \u2018P\u2019<\/strong>, \u2018F\u2019<\/strong>, or other outward, more abrupt and forceful sounds.<\/p>\n
